make sure you get the drivers from www.wingmanteam.com if that's not where you downloaded them from. The DFP should work fine with those drivers. This sounds more like a driver/software issue than a problem with the wheel itself.

I should add, that picture was taken on Firefox 2.0, but it happened with 1.5 as well, I never use IE, so I don't know about that.

The only thing I can do to help you is tell you to change the thread title. I thought it was going to be a thread about exchanging help, not help with Microsoft Exchange. You might get some more views if the thread title was changed.

well done guys

WTF? This problem has been going on for a while, I've had issues with it too, albeit on my old computer. It's better that he bumps an old post than makes a new one. People would be jumping down his throat to use the search function if he posted a new thread instead of posting in this one.

As to the original poster, I have no clue what to do, I'd like to know, too
Minor issue, gray blocks sometimes appear in signatures.

This is really a minor issue, but sometimes, users with smaller signatures that would nomally have white space, the space is gray instead. A refresh always solves it, I just found it kind of odd.

I've attached a picture of it happening, I refreshed right after, and it was gone.

Nascar Racing 2003, made by the same people that made Grand Prix Legends, NR2003 and Richard Burns Rally are the only sims I've run across that give LFS a run for it's money.

A word of caution, look around locally before you buy NR2003 off eBay, as it's very very expsensive now.

Oh, one more thing, if you're not interested in car mods for NR2003, look for NR2002, it's almost the same physics model, just 2002 cars, and might be cheaper.

I was feeling somewhat down this evening, and I was really in the mood to watch some motor racing, but sadly there was none on Speed Channel. Browsing around the forums I saw a little link in SamH's signature that the STCC round 3 video was released, and I was overjoyed

The STCC is as good or better than any form of racing I could have seen on T.V., bar none. The racing was absolutely top class, the commentary was excellent, the video production was spot-on, in short, it was perfect.

A big congratulations to everyone involved in this project

Quote from Jamexing :I really can't see a logical reason why this thread should exist at all. Maybe I should do the SEARCH BEFORE YOU POST (aka read through hours worth of threads and posts) routine...

We can ALREADY add weight in increments of 70kg (passengers) and we can tweak the last bit of weight by increasing the fuel load. For instance, if a race is for 10 laps and each lap uses 2% fuel, you could easily get a car to run a ballast by simply adding say 25kg worth of fuel more than necassary to finish the race, since every unpenalized car would run very close to the absolute minimum anyway.

Why fuss over a feature that's already there and call it an "improvement suggestion"? This additional weight "idea" has been floating around and suggested for longer than most of us can even remember, so why this repeat? illepall

With the number of times you've mentioned torque curves and the Lancer Evolution engine, I think you're the last person that should be complaining about double posts. I swear half your posts say exactly the same thing, which I agree with by the way, but it gets old..

The American flag is easy to draw, just very annoying, having to draw 13 stripes and 50 stars.

The coolest flag in my mind is Nepal, hooray for non rectangular flags

Lol, that's really cool, the sound manager on my motherboard has something like that, but this is much better executed. Try listening to it with your eyes closed, and it's even more believable.

Quote from P5YcHoM4N :Well it was American. They make their houses from paper. Then cry when it gets blown over in a slight gale.
None of the storms America gets would do any damage if houses were made from brick and not paper and double sided sticky tape.

An American house....

Just went outside, I'm pretty sure those are real bricks...

Quote from Shotglass :not true ... with disc brakes the handbrake often operates an indipendet hydraulic system

Yes, you are correct, sorry. I was more referring to drum type handbrakes but yes, ones that operate using your brake rotors can be hydraulic. It's still a seperate system though

I can't imagine that Mustang doesn't have an interlock where the clutch must be fully depressed before the engine will start, but if it doesn't I can easily see how that kid would have done that. I'm guessing that Mustang has more than enough torque to start in first gear, and as soon as it started rolling, I'm sure the kid had no idea what to do and panicked.

I'm guessing the dad wasn't actually expecting whoever got in the car to start it and drive it, I'm sure he was just letting whoever it was sit in the driver's seat so they could feel all cool and whatever. He probably left it in first gear so it wouldn't roll, (I always leave cars with manuals in first when I park on flat surfaces, saves wear on your handbrake cable, and you don't have to worry about your handbrake cable freezing up in the winter, which does happen where I live.)

In short, both the father and the kid are at fault, the father should have been paying more attention to the kid in the car, like actually standing there and watching, and the kid is completely stupid to start the engine in the driveway not having any idea what he's doing.

Now, on to the handbrake comments. In many cars, the handbrake operates a small set of drum brakes behind the rear rotors, my car is this way, as are many others that I've inspected. On some, usually higher performance cars, the handbrake operates another set of calipers on the rear brake rotors, the Porsche Carrera GT and the Noble M12 GTO3R are like this.

On cars with drum type handbrakes, the handbrake may help a little in a last ditch situation with either faded brakes or a cut brakeline. A handbrake as always cable operated, so if your hydraulic brake system does get a puncture or lose pressure, the handbrake still works.

To whomever said that you don't need to use a low gear decending in the mountains has clearly never driven in the mountains, there is no way your brakes would survive otherwise. I have personally followed people in the mountans that don't know how to use a lower gear, and it is pretty frightening, seeing a truck's brakes on fire at the bottom of a mountain pass is enough to convince me....

Quote from HorsePower :Maybe pointless for you, but not for me. The reason why I was asking was, that we are deciding how to rename our servers. Shall we make it plain text, so that one can easily type it in directly? Or shall we use some useless, but characteristic letters in there?

So, I think the result of this vote is pretty clear to me: Most people use any kind of link or list to connect to a server, only a few people type in server names directly. So using some additional letters such as points, or brackets or whatever won't hurt.

But I will not use any of these new special characters, since they produce strange HTML-output when using LFSW scripts.

I'm thinking of the Redline Racing servers here, tbh. They have a fancy server name, but converting it to Join2LFS links always produces strange characters.

OFF-TOPIC: Is there an easy way to display the special characters on websites?

Special characters work fine for me on websites, but I have the Asian language pack installed on Windows, before I installed that, I couldn't see any special characters.

Quote from biggie :Well, uh, in my opinion it's the other way round. Being able to control the LX6 means you can control the more forgiving LX4. On the other hand, being able to control the small amount of power of the LX4 doesn't mean you have enough sensitivity in your right foot to control the untamed force of the LX6

I think if you reread his post, he's saying the exact same thing you are, once you master the LX6, the LX4 is easy. I agree with this, by the way.

You can do that with the normal ext. view as well.

On further thought, this option should stay in the game, it's not hurting anyone, and it's not that confusing. I don't see why it should be taken out
